The South African professional equalled the course record at Wingate Park Country Club with his flawless 62, while also taking a three-shot lead into the final round over Daniel Cronje, Thriston Lawrence and Travis Procter.

He is now on 15-under-par 129 and has yet to drop a shot in the tournament.

Speaking after his sizzling performance, Loubser said he was pleased with the way he played.

“It was a great round. In fact, the first time I’ve hit all 18 greens. It’s been a goal of mine for a while now, so that’s pretty cool and was fun to do. I also putted really solid and didn’t have any three-putts or miss any short ones. I holed a couple of nice ones as well. Any time you get to shoot 62 it’s been a good day.

“I had a really nice break and did some travelling. The last four weeks I did a lot of good work and practiced quite hard. It’s nice to see that paying off now getting back into the tournaments. For the final round I will focus on each shot at a time. I have a good strategy around this golf course and will stick to that and hopefully play well again,” said Loubser (via Sunshine Tour).

On his front nine, Loubser started with a birdie, followed by an eagle and another birdie on the first, second and third holes, respectively. He added two more birdies at the seventh and ninth for an outward 29.

On the back nine, he made back-to-back birdies on the 12th and 13th before adding another two at the 15th and 18th for an inward 33.

The second-placed trio of Cronje, Lawrence and Procter are on 12-under-par 132 after carding 67, 65 and 66 on moving day, respectively.
