ALBERT Venter and Christiaan Burke will head into the final round of the Vodacom Origins of Golf Final at Pezula Golf Estate in Knysna, Western Cape, South Africa, on Sunday holding a one-shot lead at the top of the leaderboard.

The duo are tied on 18-under-par 198, just a single stroke ahead of third-placed Casey Jarvis on 17-under-par 199 with 18 holes remaining.

Venter, who began moving day tied for 15th and five shots behind overnight leader Burke, produced a bogey-free eight-under-par 64, while Burke carded a three-under-par 69 in the penultimate round, setting up what promises to be an intriguing final day. Venter recorded four birdies on the front nine, on the first, fourth, fifth and ninth holes for an outward 32. He added four more on the back nine at the 13th, 14th, 17th and 18th to match his front-nine score and cap a brilliant performance. Burke, who has led since the opening round, carded four birdies, an eagle and three bogeys for his 69. He dropped shots at the third and fourth, followed up with a birdie on the sixth and another bogey on the eighth an outward 38. He then delivered a flawless back nine, picking up a birdie on the 12th, an eagle on the 13th and another birdie on the 14th, before closing with a further birdie on the 18th for an inward 31.

Third-placed Jarvis also signed for a 69 in round three, collecting five birdies, including four in a row on the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th, along with two bogeys.
