The Africa Amateur Championship, organized by The R&A, is set to take place from February 5 to 8, 2025, at the prestigious Leopard Creek Country Club in South Africa. The championship features 72 male amateur golfers from across Africa, competing over 72 holes in a stroke-play format. The winner of the 2025 championship will earn an exemption into The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush, one of golf's most esteemed major championships. Concurrently, an invitational event for 20 elite female amateur golfers from the region will be held. This competition aims to elevate women's golf in Africa, providing participants with invaluable experience and exposure.
