ENGLISH professional Joe Sullivan’s superb form this season on the Betway Big Easy Tour has seen him comfortably leading the Order of Merit standings following the completion of the Blu Label Unlimited Invitational 5 at Silver Lakes Golf and Wildlife Estate on Wednesday.

Sullivan claimed a one-stroke victory at the event, securing his second Blu Label Invitational title of the season. With the win in Pretoria, he earned 210 Order of Merit points.

His season total now stands at 1 175.06 points from 13 tournaments, giving him a commanding 356.14 point lead over Daniel Cronje, who sits second on 818.92 points from 12 tournaments. In third place is Harry Konig with 662.84 points from 11 tournaments, followed by Jacques van der Merwe in fourth on 641.25 points from 13 events. Brandon Pieters, who has also played 13 tournaments this season, occupies fifth position with 562.24 points, just ahead of Travis Proctor on 467.03 points. Dillon Germshuys sits seventh with 457.66 points, followed by Jaden Deltel on 448.64 points. Completing the top ten are Hayden Porteous in ninth with 405.03 points, and Ulrich van den Berg in tenth on 401.21 points. The top ten golfers on the Order of Merit are the only players so far to have surpassed the 400-point mark this season.

The Betway Big Easy Tour serves as the Sunshine Tour’s feeder circuit. It was established in 2011 with support from Ernie Els.
