JUNAID Ayaz Manji got the season off to a flying start after securing a commanding four-stroke victory over Elvis Muigua at the 67th NCBA Sigona Bowl, held at Sigona Golf Club in Kenya.

Manji was in outstanding form throughout the tournament, producing a standout performance to finish on three-under-par 213 after 54 holes. He was the only golfer to record an under-par total in the competition.

After opening with a two-over-par 74 in the first round, Manji carded a 73 on moving day to head into the final round on three-over-par 147. He then closed the tournament with a brilliant, flawless six-under-par 66. His final round featured six birdies, the best score of the tournament. On the front nine, Manji picked up birdies at the first, sixth and ninth holes to go out in 33. After the turn, he produced three consecutive birdies at the 15th, 16th and 17th holes for an inward 33, completing a superb performance that saw him comfortably claim the championship. Second-placed Muigua finished on one-over-par 217, posting rounds of 72, 73 and 72. Dennis Maara took third place on three-over-par 219, with round scores of 72, 75 and 72.

The Sigona Bowl marked the opening event of the 2026 KAGC NCBA Series.
