JUNIOR teams from South Africa and Morocco have departed for Japan, where they are scheduled to compete in the 2025 Toyota Junior Golf World Cup, taking place from June 23-27 at Chukyo Golf Club in Toyota-Shi.
The Junior Orange Bowl Executive Committee is also among the organisers. Team South Africa comprises Roelof Craig, Johndre Ludick, and Dewan de Bruin, under the guidance of coach Heinrich Lourens. Morocco’s boys’ team includes Mohamed Baouhamou, Alexandre El Khomri, and Amine El Omari, with Karim Guessous serving as captain, and Ahmed Reda Rhazali appointed as coach. The girls’ team features Sophia Yasmin Zbiri, Noha Ghadi, and Sawssane Melhli, coached by Younes El Hassani. The tournament promotes a spirit of patriotism and international camaraderie, encouraging players to represent their countries with pride while building friendships across borders. Beyond the competition itself, the organising committee aims to foster the development of junior golf, helping to ensure the growth of the sport globally. To support this, the event also serves as a platform where international captains and coaches can exchange insights and ideas on junior golf programmes with their counterparts from other nations.
Participating nations in the girls’ division include England, Italy, Morocco, Japan, Thailand, New Zealand, Canada, the USA, and Colombia. Countries competing in the boys’ division are England, France, South Africa, Morocco, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Canada, the USA, Mexico, Colombia, and Chile.
