SOUTH African professional Adam Breen has maintained his lead at the top of the leaderboard following the completion of the second round of the eighth event on the Bushveld Tour’s Race to Sunshine Tour Qualifying School at Wanderers Golf Club.

Breen holds a one-shot advantage over Zimbabwean professional Michael Wallace. He sits on nine-under-par 133, while Wallace is on eight-under-par 134.

Having opened with a six-under-par 65 on Monday, Breen carded a three-under-par 68 in the second round, recording five birdies and two bogeys. On his front nine, he picked up birdies at the first, fifth, seventh and eighth, before dropping a shot at the ninth to turn in 33. On the back nine, he recorded a birdie at the 14th and a bogey at the 10th for an inward 35. Second-placed Wallace, who recently turned professional, opened with a 68 and followed it up with a bogey-free 66, which included three birdies and an eagle. He made birdies at the first, eighth and 12th, and an eagle at the 10th.

Daniel Cronje and Sean Cronje share third place on seven-under-par 135.
