TRAVIS Procter delivered a solid performance to secure a one-shot victory over Wandre Snyman at the seventh event of the Bushveld Tour’s Race to Sunshine Tour Qualifying School at Kyalami Country Club in South Africa on Wednesday.

Procter carded a closing three-under-par 69 to finish on an overall 12-under-par 204 and claim his first title.

The South African opened with a 69, leaving him four shots off the lead, which was shared by Jacques van der Merwe and Tristan Leonard. He then moved into the lead on the second day following a flawless six-under-par 66. He went into the final round on nine-under-par 135, holding a one-shot advantage over Daniel Cronje. His closing 69 featured five birdies and two bogeys. On the front nine, Procter picked up shots at the fourth, sixth and ninth, while dropping a shot at the seventh to go out in 34. After the turn, he added another birdie at the 13th, dropped a shot at the 16th, but finished strongly with a birdie at the 18th to hold off Snyman’s charge. Snyman finished on 11-under-par 205, with rounds of 70, 68 and 67, earning 210 Race to Q-School Order of Merit points. Brandon Pieters finished third on 10-under-par 206, with rounds of 72, 67 and 67, collecting 172.5 Order of Merit points.

The Race to Sunshine Tour Q-School is a 13-tournament series leading up to the 2026/27 Sunshine Tour Qualifying School. The eighth event is scheduled to take place at Wanderers Golf Club from February 16-18.
