DANIEL Cronje capped off an outstanding campaign with a one-shot victory at the Race to Sunshine Tour Q-School #10 (Blu Label Unlimited Tour Championship), held at Ruimsig Country Club in South Africa on Wednesday.

It was his second back to back title of the season, rounding off an incredible year as the Order of Merit and Race to Q-School rankings winner.

Cronje finished the Tour Championship on 12-under-par 204, with amateur Jordan Wessels, Philip Geerts and Werner Deyzel sharing second place on 11-under-par 205. Prior to his victory on Wednesday, Cronje had already claimed the Race to Q-School titles 1, 2 and 9. Having opened the Tour Championship with a four-under-par 68, in which he dropped only one shot, Cronje carded a 69 on moving day. He then went into the final round seven-under-par 137 and closed with a flawless 67. Cronje had been tied for sixth, three shots behind Deyzel, heading into the final round. His 67 featured five birdies. On the front nine, Cronje picked up birdies at the fourth and eighth holes, and after the turn he added further birdies at 11, 14 and 18.

The Race to Q-School #10 marked the Bushveld Tour’s season finale, with the top ten players on the Order of Merit set to advance to the Sunshine Tour Q-School final stage.
