DANIEL Cronje secured his second consecutive victory in the Race to Sunshine Tour Q-School with a six-stroke win over Adam Breen at the series’ second event, held at Glenvista Country Club in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Cronje closed with another four-under-par 68 to finish on an overall 14-under-par 202 and claim top honours. Once again, he was the only golfer to remain in the 60s throughout the tournament’s three rounds.

The South African professional also won the first tournament of the series at The Els Club Copperleaf in Centurion last week, making it a brilliant start to the race. Having opened with a 68 on Monday and followed it with a 66 on moving day, rounds that saw him among the golfers sharing the lead after the first two rounds, Cronje’s closing 68 featured six birdies and two bogeys. On the front nine, Cronje picked up a birdie on the second hole, followed by a bogey on the third and another birdie on the ninth for an outward 35. He then carded back-to-back birdies on the 10th and 11th holes, followed by another on the 14th, before dropping a shot on the 16th. He added yet another birdie on the 17th for an inward 33. He earned 210 Race to Q-School points for his win. Second-placed Breen, who went into the final round sharing the lead with Cronje on 10-under-par 134, having also carded 68 and 66 in his first two rounds, closed with a two-over-par 74 to finish on an overall eight-under-par 208. Tristan Leonard and amateur Liam McKenna finished tied for third on four-under-par 212.

Sanctioned by the Bushveld Tour, the Race to Sunshine Tour Q-School is a 13-tournament series forming the pathway towards the 2026/27 Sunshine Tour Qualifying School.
