FOLLOWING the conclusion of the fifth event of the Race to Sunshine Tour Qualifying School Series at Killarney Country Club in South Africa on Wednesday, Daniel Cronje is leading the Order of Merit standings.
The South African professional has competed in four tournaments, winning two and securing top-10 finishes in the other two events. Cronje claimed victory in the first two events of the series, the Race to Q-School #1 and #2 held at The Els Club Copperleaf and Glenvista Country Club respectively. For each victory, he earned a total of 210 Order of Merit points. He then finished fourth at Race to Q-School #3 at Ebotse Links, where he accumulated 82.50 points. His most recent appearance was at Killarney Country Club, where he finished tied for 10th, adding 76.43 points to his tally. With Cronje and Goldhill occupying the top two positions, Wandre Synman sits third with 354.60 points, followed closely by Cole Stevens in fourth with 353.60 points. Liam Ross is in fifth place on 300.78 points, while Rees Emanuel occupies sixth with 253.33 points. Tristan Leonard is seventh with 250.05 points, Noel Anderson eighth with 230.94 points, while Ryan Tipping and Travis Ladner complete the top 10 in ninth and tenth positions with 227.88 and 195.21 points respectively.
The top 10 players at the end of the series will advance to the final stage of the Sunshine Tour Q-School. The sixth event, Race to Q-School #6, is scheduled to take place at Modderfontein Golf Club in South Africa, with play set to tee off on February 2.
