DYLAN Frittelli has kept himself in contention for a fourth DP World Tour title after a brilliant performance on moving day at the Dubai Invitational taking place at Dubai Creek Resort in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The South African professional carded a flawless five-under-par 66 to move into a tie for second place, just two shots behind the leader Nacho Elvira.

Frittelli is now on an overall six-under-par 207, while Elvira leads on eight-under-par 205 with 18 holes left to play. He is tied with Marcus Armitage and Shane Lowry for second place. Starting the third round tied for ninth and four shots off the lead, the 35-year-old was at his best as he picked up five birdies. On the front nine, he made three birdies in succession at holes three, four and five to turn in 32. After the turn, he added further birdies at the 11th and 18th holes for an inward 34, producing one of the best rounds of the day. Jacques Kruyswijk also made significant gains, moving up into a tie for sixth. Kruyswijk likewise carded a bogey-free 66, which included five birdies. The 33-year-old, who sits at four-under-par 209, picked up two birdies at the sixth and ninth on his outward nine, before adding three more at the 14th, 16th and 18th on the back nine. Shaun Norris, who carded a 68 on moving day, is tied for 15th at two-under-par 211, while Jayden Schaper and Thriston Lawrence are part of a three-way tie for 17th on one-under-par 212.

Ockie Strydom and Dylan Naidoo are placed 56th and 58th respectively.
