RWANDAN professional Celestin Nsanzuwera is looking forward to making his DP World Tour debut when the 2026 Magical Kenya Open presented by ABSA tees off at Karen Country Club in Nairobi on Thursday.

He will become the first golfer from his country to tee it up at the Magical Kenya Open, and only the third to compete on the DP World Tour after qualifying via the Sunshine Development Tour.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, the Kigali Golf Resort and Villas member said he is relishing the challenge. He has his sights set on making the cut and finishing near the top of the leaderboard. “I qualified to play in the Magical Kenya Open through the Sunshine Development Tour where I finished number one in the Order of Merit. I am really happy to be on this Tour and I am here to show up and play with the best golfers in the world and I am ready to show up. “This is my first time playing on the DP World Tour. I am so excited and ready to show up. My goal is to play good golf, make the cut and be on the top,” said Nsanzuwera (via DP World Tour).

The theme for the tournament this year is 'Open to All' and that is highlighted in the wide range of nationalities represented in the field, with players from 29 different countries. Of the 144 players set to tee off in the Kenyan capital, 17 are Kenyans, including five amateurs.
