GIA Raad etched her name onto the history books after she won the Jackie Mercer Trophy at the 2025 Investec South Africa Women’s Open at Erinvale Golf Estate.

Raad finished as the leading amateur golfer at the oldest and most prestigious women’s golf tournament in South Africa. She was also the only amateur to make the cut.

She finished tied for position 50 on level-par-288. Raad started the tournament with an impressive five-under-par-67 with six birdies on round one and followed it up with a two-under-par-70 which left her on seven-under, enough to see her make the cut. She shot three birdies on the second round. The third round proved a bit challenging for the leading amateur golfer as she carded four-over-par-76, leaving her on overall three-under going into the final round. She closed with a three-over-75 to finish on level-par. The Investec South Africa Women’s Open was the season finale on the 2025 Sunshine Ladies Tour.
