A CLOSING round of 66 saw Marcel Steyn Scholtz secure a one stroke victory at the Bushveld Tour sanctioned Blue Label Invitational #3 at Waterkloof Golf Club in Pretoria, South Africa on Wednesday.

Scholtz made a birdie on the final hole to finish on 14-under-par 202, just a single shot ahead of Warwick Purchase on 13-under-par 203.

He began the tournament with a two-under-par 70 where he shot five birdies and three bogeys. After the opening round,he was four shots behind clubhouse leader, Brandon Pieters who shot 66 on day one. Scholtz followed up his first round with a brilliant six-under-par 66 on the moving day. His round included an eagle on the par-five second hole alongside six birdies and two bogeys. Going into the final round on eight-under-par, Scholtz shot yet another brilliant 66. He recorded seven birdies and a single bogey in his final round, enough to edge out Purchase. In second place, Purchase had round scores of 67,70 and 66.In third place there was Jordan Burnand on 12-under-par 204 with round scores of 71, 69 and 64.
