SOUTH African professional Pieter Moolman has maintained his lead at the top of the leaderboard following the conclusion of the second round of the KCM Golf Challenge at Nchanga Golf Club in Zambia.
The South African, who opened with a brilliant nine-under-par 63, carded a three-under-par 69 in the second round on Friday. He produced a near-flawless round, dropping just a single shot. On the front nine, Moolman enjoyed a flawless run, picking up three birdies at the fourth, seventh and eighth for an outward 33. After the turn, Moolman bogeyed the 10th before recovering with a birdie at the 15th for an inward 36. Chinhoi, in second place, made significant gains in the second round with a brilliant bogey-free nine-under-par 63. The Zimbabwean birdied the first, followed it up with an eagle at the fourth and another birdie at the seventh for an outward 32. On the back nine, Chinhoi added another birdie at the 10th, followed by an eagle at the 13th and further birdies at the 15th and 17th for an inward 31.
Ethan Smith, Stals Swart, Kyle Barker and Toto Thimba Jnr share third place on 10-under-par 134.
