PLAY in the second round of Race to Sunshine Tour Qualifying School #3 was suspended due to inclement weather at Ebotse Links in South Africa on Tuesday.
Noel Anderson, who managed to complete his second round with a level-par 72, currently leads the field by one stroke ahead of amateur Rees Emmanuel and Wandré Snyman, both of whom also finished their rounds before play was halted. Anderson sits on six-under-par 138, having opened with a six-under 66, while Emmanuel and Snyman are tied on five-under-par 139. Anderson’s second-round 72 included three birdies and three bogeys. The South African professional picked up birdies at the second and fourth, with a bogey at the sixth, for an outward 35. On the back nine he dropped shots at the 13th and 16th, but closed with a birdie at the 18th for an inward 37. Emmanuel, who opened with a 69, returned a second-round 70, while Snyman followed his first-round 68 with a 71. Daniel Cronjé is in fourth place on four-under-par 140 after rounds of 68 and 72. As things stand following the suspension, the top four players have all completed their second rounds.
