Having started moving day tied for ninth on eight-under-par 136, four shots behind overnight leader Pieter Moolman, Porteous dropped just a single shot during the third round. He had a flawless front nine, picking up four birdies at the fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth holes for an outward 32. After the turn, Porteous made back-to-back birdies at the 10th and 11th before dropping a shot at the 12th and recovering with back-to-back birdies at the 13th and 14th. He added another birdie at the 17th for an inward 32. Oliver Goldhill sits in second place on 15-under-par 201 after carding a near-flawless 66 on moving day. Allen John is third on 14-under-par 202.
