The South African professional opened the tournament with a two-under-par 70 which included four birdies and a double bogey on the par-four 14th hole. He was four strokes behind the overnight leader, Dylan Mostert who signed for an opening six-under-par 66. On moving day, where they played the Whistling Thorn 18-hole Par-Three Championship Course, Swart signed for an impressive four under-par 50, where he was the only golfer that managed to shoot a sub-par score. His second round featured seven birdies and just three bogeys. After his brilliant second round performance, Swart opened a three-shot lead at the top of the leaderboard. He was now on six-under while Tyron Davidowitz and Mostert were tied for second on three-under after they carded 54 and 57 respectively. Swart’s dominant closing 69 featured six birdies, with back to back on number two and three and seven and eight. He however, shot a double bogey and a bogey on number 17 and 18 respectively but had done enough to seal the win. Second placed Nieuwoudt carded four-under-par 194 with round scores of 72, 58 and 64.
