SOUTH African professional MJ Viljoen produced a solid performance to finish tied for third at the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge held at Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil in Le Vaudreuil, France.

Viljoen finished on 10-under-par 273, sharing third place with four other players, just two shots behind winner Julien Sale.

The 31-year-old South African opened the tournament with a four-under-par 68, carding an eagle, three birdies and a lone bogey. In the second round, he signed for a one-under-par 71, which included four birdies and three bogeys. His best round of the tournament came on moving day when he fired a flawless six-under-par 66, featuring an eagle and four birdies. On the front nine, Viljoen picked up his only birdie at the eighth to go out in 34. After the turn, he added birdies at the 10th, 12th and 18th, as well as an eagle at the 15th, for an inward 32 to take a two-shot lead into the final round. Viljoen then closed with a one-over-par 73, carding bogeys at the sixth and 18th and a birdie at the eighth. For his tied-third finish, Viljoen earned 100.8 Road to Mallorca points. The other players who shared third place were Lorenzo Scalise, Jacopo Vecchi Fossa, Alfie Plant and Kristian Krogh Johannessen.

Hamish Brown finished second, one shot behind Sale.
