ZIMBABWE’S premier golf tournament, the Zimbabwe Open received a major lift as financial service providers, FBC Holdings reaffirmed their commitment by sponsoring the 2025 edition with a prize fund of US$200 000. FBC retained title sponsorship for the event for the fourth consecutive year and the prize fund makes it one of the top three events on the Sunshine Tour. The 2025 FBC Zimbabwe Open is penciled in for May 4-11 at Royal Harare Golf Club with the Championship taking place from May 8-11.

We are pleased to announce that the FBC Group has committed a sponsorship of US$200 000 towards the 2025 Zimbabwe Open tournament. The Zimbabwe Open Committee chairperson, Livingston Gwata said they are looking forward to hosting the most successful 13th tournament (since relaunching in 2010). “We are indeed looking forward to a most successful 13th national tournament in this series (since relaunching in 2010. We are most grateful to our sponsors and their partners who have committed their premier brands to our premier event. We are most grateful to FBC Holdings Limited for their significant contribution and support as title sponsors for the fourth year in a row. “As Zimbabwe Open Committee, we are grateful for the facilitation and support we get from our parent body, the Zimbabwe Golf Association. We stage this national event to showcase golf being played at world class level in the sincere hope that this will inspire our up and coming young golfers to attain the highest level in the sport,” said Gwata. Zimbabwe Golf Association president, Martin Chikwana said they are grateful to FBC who have shown dedication to golf and its development not just in Zimbabwe but Africa as a whole. “Let me begin by extending my deepest gratitude to FBC Holdings, our esteemed title sponsor for their unwavering commitment to supporting the Zimbabwe Open for the fourth consecutive year. A total of 144 golfers, including at least 17 local professionals and five amateurs, will take part in the tournament. Last year’s edition was won by Michael Hollick (-20) of South Africa.
