Egyptian Junior and Ladies Open

A week after securing a play-off victory at the Gauteng North Women’s Open, Isabella Ferreira once again reigned supreme, claiming a three-stroke victory over her South African compatriot Charlotte Millard at the 2025 Egyptian Ladies Open, part of the Egyptian Junior and Ladies Open held at Newgiza Golf Club over the weekend.
The George Golf Club member began the final round two shots behind Millard but delivered a superb performance, carding nine birdies as Millard closed with a 68 to finish on 10-under-par 206. Ferreira opened her round with a birdie on the first hole, followed by another at the fifth. She added two more on the seventh and eighth for an outward nine of 32. On the back nine, she continued her charge with birdies at the 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 16th holes, sealing a dominant display to secure the championship. In her opening two rounds, Ferreira carded an even-par 72 followed by a four-under-par 68. Second placed Millard carded round scores of 67, 71 and 68. In junior events, Czech Republic’s Ondřej Chromčík won the 18 year old boys’ event, finishing on two-under-par 214 with round scores of 74, 69 and 71. Alieldin Salama from Egypt was the runner up on one-under-par 215. Yasmina Driss, the sole competitor in the 18-year-old girls’ category, finished on 22-over-par 238 with round scores of 81, 76 and 81. Egypt’s Abd El Rahman El Defrawy won the 16 year old boys’ event on 10-over-par 226, one shot ahead of compatriot Omar Yousry on 11-over-par 227. Yasmeen Thaher from Palestine won the girls’ event in the same age group category, carding five-over-par 221 with round scores of 76,76 and 69 with Egypt’s Nour Baly finishing as runner up on 23-over-par 239. Adib Shabana from Egypt won the 13 year old boys’ event, finishing on level-par 216 while second placed Daniel Thaher from Palestine shot four-over-par 220. The girls’ event was won by Lina Barhoumi from Tunisia who finished on five-over-par 221, edging Aline Anwar from Egypt who shot 59-over-par 275.
In the nine-hole 10-year-old boys’ event, Amin Kandil from Egypt carded six-over-par 78 to win the championship, edging Taj Louay from Jordan who shot eight-over-par 80. The girls’ event was won by Maya Anwar who shot 25-over-par 97, edging Lara Anwar who carded 40-over-par 112.
