The final round began with both Kibugu and Wangai tied at the top of the leaderboard on seven-under-par 137. However, Kibugu’s start was far from ideal. He dropped three shots within the opening six holes, making bogeys on the first, fifth, and sixth. He managed to steady himself with back-to-back birdies on the eighth and ninth, turning in one-over-par 37. The back nine was a different story altogether. Kibugu produced a bogey-free stretch, firing four birdies to close with an inward four-under-par 32. He picked up consecutive birdies on the 12th and 13th, followed by another pair on the 15th and 16th, to complete a determined and eventful round that sealed his victory in style. Meanwhile, Wangai closed with a one-under-par 71, carding three birdies and two bogeys. He made a bogey on the third hole, followed by a birdie on the fourth. On the back nine, he dropped a shot on the 14th, but responded with birdies on the 15th and 17th to finish strongly. Celestin Nsanzuwera completed the top three on seven-under-par 209 with rounds of 70, 68, and 71.
