A FINAL-ROUND six-under-par 66 was enough for Pieter Moolman to secure a two-shot victory over Kyle De Beer, Altin van der Merwe and Rupert Kaminski at the 2025 Limpopo Championship, held at Euphoria Golf & Lifestyle Estate in South Africa on Sunday.

Moolman began the final round tied for third place, five strokes off the lead held by Kaminski, but produced his best round of the tournament to claim top honours. It was his fourth Sunshine Tour title.

He finished the championship with an overall 12-under-par 276 while the trio sharing second place carded 10-under-par 278. In the opening three rounds, Moolman had carded 72, 71 and 67. On Sunday, his closing round featured six birdies, one eagle and two bogeys. The South African professional did not have the best of starts on Sunday, looking out of rhythm with bogeys on the par-four second and fourth holes. However, he managed to pick himself up, birdieing the par-four seventh before closing his front nine in remarkable fashion with an eagle on the par-five ninth for an outward one-under-par 35. Moolman found his rhythm on the back nine, producing four consecutive birdies on holes number 12, 13, 14 and 15. He closed the round with yet another birdie, on the par-five 18th hole for an inward 31. De Beer carded round scores of 70, 71, 70 and 67. His closing 67 featured five birdies, four bogeys and two eagles. Van der Merwe shot rounds of 68, 71, 70 and 69 with his final round comprising four birdies and one bogey. Kaminski had round scores of 68, 71, 66 and 73. He carded four birdies and five bogeys on the final round.

The next event on the Sunshine Tour is the Fortress Invitational scheduled for Glendower Golf Club starting on Thursday.
